Actually, I don't necessarily think that 3 stars should be the average vote for everyone. Each person on YTMND has their own sense of humor, and their own standard for what they consider good quality. For one person, their average vote may be 2.1, for another person, their average can be 4.3. It's all good, just vote as honestly as possible.
4 stars for:
- My favorite song as a child (lead to me burning the highschool bathroom down)
- Effort
Criteria ignored in rating
- humour.. it's not funny.
- sources. f*ck sources. what are you, an intro university arts prof's TA?
if you don't know what song it is, then you don't deserve to be told what song it is.
if i tell you where i got my pictures from, then you'd go to the same site, and take all the other pictures, and potentially make another competing ytmnd, that will suck ass

Everyone should view this ytmnd. Although, I do not see any reason to shoot for three as an average rating. The fact is, I view sites in up and coming, or worthwhile, more often than I view sites in recently created; so I am not getting a normal distribution spectrum of ytmnds, but rather a spectrum skewed to the high end, because of my viewing patterns. The voting pattern should reflect the viewing pattern.
I get it.
I could just vote 2 if the site sucks monkey balls, but somebody worked hard to ensure its SUPREMO, or VOTE 4 of the site deosn't deserve a 5 but is purported to be "good".
or 3 if I don't wanna upvote or downvote.
I'd rather vote 3 than opt out of voting.
Then again, never understood this voting system all too well.
