If you would fall off a ledge in Dark Forces which was the first of the Jedi Knight series your character would make that noise. I'll see if I can dig up a clip somewhere.
The thing about it is, its up to the copier to prove to you that its real. As long as you still have doubts, you're still going to read it, and still enjoy it. If there is reasonable doubt there, its just a theory (in a fairly convincing format). So calm down, and when you're done reading the book (as you would have done anyways) would you really be upset if this was true?
