Sadly Resident Evil movies are better than G.I. JOE movies. Though that's like comparing horse shit to cat shit.

I think the reason why people didn't like G.I. Joe: Retaliation much is because Duke dies in the opening scene. I myself didn't like it not only because of Duke dying, but Cobra Commander getting away at the end.
