Kohng Koy Kahn Souphanousinphone, is a fictional character on the animated series King of the Hill.[2] He and his wife Minh and daughter Connie (who Kahn refers to as Kahn Junior), live next door to the Hills. Kahn works in the Information Technology industry as a system analyst. At the end of episode 323's 'Wings of the Dope' running of credits Kahn, while trying to get in touch with Buckley's Angel, makes mention that he commutes to Houston every day. An immigrant from Luang Prabang, Laos, Kahn represents the new American trying to assimilate into the melting pot of Arlen, Texas. Kahn's name is a play on Laotian words. Kohng Koy basically means "I am," so his full name translates as "I am Kahn Souphanousinphone." Everyone except his mother addresses him simply as Kahn or Mr. Kahn. Like many immigrants, Kahn is preoccupied with achieving "the American Dream".
