I listen to Alex sometimes, and I think he makes a legitimate point about vaccines. However, I still take certain ones myself and would let my child take certain ones too. In most cases, I think the benefits outweigh the risks. However, I also keep an ear on the media, mainstream and alternative, to know which vaccines are proven to be relatively safe, like the yearly flu vaccine, which ones have not been adequately tested, like the swine flu vaccine, and which ones are too dangerous to take, like Gardasil.
