It's from the animated film Paprika, about psychological researchers using a device that allows one to enter another's dream. It's like a form of therapy, but then the film starts exploring the crazy split personality of the protagonist, and there's some strange trippy mystery surrounding a conflict with one of them, but taking place in one anothers' heads. I saw the movie, but it's kind of complicated and I don't remember it. It was great though.
Oh, and Tom Jones kicks ass.
What happens in the story is that someone that got a hold of one of the dream entering devices and started killing people. So they used the other devices they had left to try to track down the killer. The movie starts to mind f*ck you when the characters can't even tell if they are dreaming are not. then all hell breaks loose when dreams start taking over the world. The character in this gif is paprika, who is the alter ego of the main character. The two egos are being sperated in this scene.
