Simpleton who has no idea of global economics or geographical politics. I don't expect anyone here to understand why we're all screwed if gas prices continue to drop seeing as everyone's so polarized to think it's a good thing and 'taking resources out of the hands of the middle east" is what it amounts to.
^^^^ A big reason for the drop is that the hedge funds pulled the money suddenly out on July 7, 2008. It's been falling back to it's true value ever since. Will we really return to under $2.00 for the long haul? Probably not. But will return to $4.17? Probably not for a long time ... unless another hedge fund wants to play the same game next summer! What we need is stricter regulation of the NYMEX commodities market.
