no, it really isn't better, it's annoying. When someone 1's a site, I'd prefer that they either make a comment with some substance to it, or not comment at all.

I don't think people who 1 sites don't leave comments because they're afraid of people on the internet, they probably just don't feel like making the effort of commenting. Honestly, I don't care who 1's my sites and I don't care whether they leave a comment or not. But leaving a comment that says "1" constantly, just makes you look retarded
