The truth is, blu ray WILL take over HD DVD, but when it comes down to it, theres no difference in quality between the two. It's like comparing pepsi to cocacola. I've never seen anyone turn down pepsi when they ask for cocacola, or turn down sierra myst if they dont have sprite. It was a retarded move on toshiba's part to create a new forum plain and simple.
