for dvd rips: DVD Shrink 3.2 or above
-If you aren't going to use video gif, then use Adobe Photoshop to make your animation, then save for web.
-If you need youtube videos, download: E-Z Soft Youtube Downloader.
-The main thing you'll need is Super. Its a file converter.
-I use Sony Vegas to edit the audio files, you could use Windows Movie Maker, just render it or "save movie file" as a mp3
-The use Super to convert your video to an animated gif.
