when my mom was dying, and i wanted to spend quality time with her, i bought her halo, but she totally sucked at it.
i kept fraging her and yelling, "HOW YOU LIKE THAT MOM? HEADSHOT! YOU SUCK!" she didnt have any fun, so she pussed out and stopped playing against me.
then she died.
a year later i was playing halo 2 and couldnt help but think.. man, if mom was still alive id kick her *ss at this too.

You... you do realize that you automatically get letters from a made up mom in animal crossing, right? She always sends you presents, usually just random items. It probably wasn't really from her, but from the fake mom that Nintendo put in there... 3'd, was to fast, and ytmnds are supposed to be funny, not sad.
I think the problem is that the YTMND format lends itself too well to proliferation, having easy-to-remember domain names and few ads. I say to solve that, we rechristen each site with an assigned domain name, 50 characters long and containing a random string of letters, numbers, symbols, Chinese characters, and Hieroglyphs. And perhaps a two-hour time share seminar built into the preloader.
This YTMND took a webcomic, turned it into a slideshow with decent cropping and good timing, and set it to well-chosen music. So: 5.
OmniIcyshelf makes taking things too seriously into a goddamned art form. Seriously, YTMND was born from a goofy soundbite of a movie. It had a picture of Sean Connery because Internet pages are supposed to have graphical representation. Maybe you can turn YTMND into some sort of paradise for original, intelligent, creative Internet art; I really, really, really doubt it.
But in any case, don't pretend that this is lowering the standards as far as originality goes. Maybe it's not up to the standard you WANT to create, but that's different. And if that is the case, then your standards are extremely unrealistic for this site. I think this meets any reasonable standard for adding content not found in the original work, unless you are asking every single person to draw their own art and compose their own music. If you don't like it then maybe you should build your own website.
That was really moving. It made me think about my family and how much they really mean to me. Maybe some of the other f*cktards on this site will realize that they are retarded fat nerds who have no care for they family or anyone else besides their computer and all their memorized porn stars. Grow a pair and think for a minute, there are more important things in this world than hiding behind a computer and the internet.
