Unfortunately, I didn't have much of a choice...My old HD broke, I didn't have an XP disc handy, and there was a sale on Vista where I got my new HD.
At least I'll be prepared to deal with the hundreds of Vista related calls that my office will be getting come the fall semester, so there IS a good side to this.
