The only way the current administration could sway the public to their side at this point is if they dropped the feigned civility, and just walked and talked like bad-ass authoritarians like Dirty Harry. Admit it, if after Cheney shot that guy, he said he did it to "watch a man die," or cause he was a "punk," a lot of you would think he was frickin' awesome.
