WOW NO PRESIDENT HAS EVER DONE THIS BEFORE!!!!!! I MEAN, ESPECIALLY NOT BILL CLINTON!

Um, actually no. Bill Clinton did not commute the sentence of a member of his own administration, whose actions caused him direct political gain.

Nitzwalsh. That was the most idiotic statement made on YTMND. http://newsbusters.org/node/13886

Libby's obstruction of justice shielded the administration. Henry Cisneros' obstruction was to save his own political skin and was during an FBI background check preceding his appointment. Also, the author of the post is rebutted in his own article: Warner Todd Huston says: Cisneros, it should be remembered, was convicted in 1995 on 18 counts of conspiracy, false statements and obstruction of justice- The truth is Cisneros was not convicted. Cisneros pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor.

It shielded Armitage who is a nobody. and it was about something that brought no harm, nor threat of harm to any thing or person.

I don't really like Bush anymore even though I voted for the man. The war is about the only thing he has done right. But the media going after him is insane they should have gone after the prosecutors who sought such extreme punishment for nothing.

You go through all those and let's see if we can't find any finer, more upstanding citizens who are still serving time for the same crimes than those that Clinton pardoned.

A Bush Commutation has been as rare as rain in the desert. Therefore it speaks volumes when he chooses to use it.

Also, as to your pardons list, Bush hasn't served his final day, the day in which every president makes the bulk of their presidential pardons and commutations.

How the #@# do u commit obstruction of justice when where isn't and underlying crime? The court found no crime that Libby Obstructed from. lol Most likely Libby will continue the appeals and get off and wouldn't have needed the pardon in the first place, but at least this way, he doesn't have to serve unjust time.

I'm going to let your last comment stand for itself. Your comment previous, however? You can't get off of an obstruction charge, simply because you were very good at said obstruction.

We shall see when Libby's appeal is finally heard, and he most likely is acquitted.

And please do let my statement on Fitzgerald stand. It's become painfully clear that the man is no better than District Attn Nifong.
