It was the film makers discretion what would eventually be said. NOT the fans. Get over yourself. "Do a Barrel Roll" is not something Optimus prime would say. Seeing as very few of the original Autobots were PLANES. It would be something Star Scream would say as he was avoiding flack from a noob.... A noob like you.
Then what, GodComplex is the point of having a contest that SAYS the fans can vote on something (yes I know what was in the fine print, before you say otherwise) and then ultimately the filmmakers decide the line. Of course it is up to them they write the damn script. However, using a contest like that as a cheap marketing ploy is no way to treat fans of this franchise. Yes, that's right I have been watching Transformers for well over 12 years now, and I thought do a barrel roll was a great idea. So what if
none of the original autobots were planes (oh by the way, you forgot Skyfire dumbass) it would have been a funny in-joke. Not every line of dialogue is going to have to be overly-dramatic self-important schlock. It is like in the original film when they used a Weird Al song on the soundtrack. Sure it didn't fit with the "serious" tone of the film, but it was still amusing. Go f*ck yourself and quit making everyone else listen to your crap.
You put words into my mouth. I said very few of the Original Autobots were Planes, Not that none of them are(As a matter of fact there were only 2 Minus StarScream when he jumps ship his few times, Decepticons have 6 Planes). Please go back to elementary school and retake Reading Comprehension. As for the line, Technically they can't use it as it is part of the copyright script from StarFox64. Using it would be breach of said Copyright. And would thus be ground for Nintendo to go after the movies producers.
One more response, because I am not going to get into a flame war over a YTMND, but seriously GodComplex, you have not really proven your point. First you argued that it was the fine print that justified do a barrel roll, and now you are citing copyright laws. Don't you think that since this project is being directec by Michael Bay, king of grossly high-budget films, that sure he could afford copyright permission from someone like Nintendo?
