Here is where Western understanding fails... the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not say, "BEHEAD EVERYONE BECAUSE WE ARE ARABS AND WE MUST FEED INTO THE STEREOTYPE!!!!" He merely said certain punishments should be maintained to deter from adultery and other such things. These sins are also punishable in our father religions, Judaism/Christianity.
