poland has allways been proud of sarmation heritage, but actually their range extened from poland to iran, centering around the Ukraine. they were largely dispersed by the hunic invasions of the 4th century, but word has it that Atilla himself had two sarmations as his personal guards. I've been facinated by this culture since i found out about it. Their women, for example, fought along side thier men, and had to make a kill to get married.
