Xioyux, go to mozilla.org and look in the FF extensions page for Tabbrowser Preferences. It will insert some extra options in the TOOLS > OPTIONS > TAB BROWSEING tab.

Ha, I've done it before. Fun stuff. I don't use Mozilla, though, I use IE, ergo all these windows open as bars on the bottom. On my XP, not too problematic save for scrolling, but on older PCs, so many damned tiny boxes down there...
