I don't think you necessarily have to worry about that. (After all, people force "You're the man now, dog!" into dialogue without much regard for timing, and somehow it still works. We're familiar enough with the clip to ignore it.) If the problem is timing the image, just keep the girl's eyes open (i.e. pause the clip) for as long as necessary.
