I don't see why people make sweeping generalzations about anime. A lot is bad. Some is good. You've probably only seen 2 or three anime out there. And even if all the ones you've seen are bad, isn't there a chance that there are some that are good? Full Metal Alchemist is good. People think it's a kiddy cartoon, but people's heads explode from the inside regularly.
